The first half of the school year flew by with many exciting events and accomplishments for The Link in our 10th year.
In November, we held our second annual Professional Development Conference where delegates had the privilege of hearing from a variety of engaging business leaders. We were happy to see our attendance double from last year and are looking forward to continue expanding it in the future.
In December 2011, The Link was recognized by Dr. Francis Pang at an event in Toronto for the continued success of our International Student Leadership Conference.
On January 11th we held our 5th annual Steer Your Career event where students had the opportunity to network with professionals from a variety of industries in a personal setting. We were thrilled to welcome both a record number of companies as well as attendees to this year's event!
With the winter semester underway, our next two events of the year are quickly approaching. Our conference team is already doing a fantastic job planning the 10th Annual Leadership in Business Conference. In honour of our 10th Anniversary we are anticipating many new additions to the conference as well as hosting a record number of delegates!
On Friday, January 27th, our International Team will welcome 150 students from China for a morning of activities at the annual 'Winter Camp' event. Student volunteers will have the opportunity to guide the students through a brief business case and get a feel for what it would be like to volunteer this summer at our 5th Annual International Student Leadership Conference.
As you can tell there is lots going on so make sure to check back often for exciting updates as the year progresses!
