About the International Student Leadership Conference
In July of 2008, The Link, in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University, proudly announced its newly developed international objectives. Four of our Wilfrid Laurier Students travelled to both Beijing and Shenzhen campuses of Concord College of Sino Canada (CCSC) in China. Our Laurier students were able to provide the students at CCSC with an opportunity to learn about business through a three day interactive workshop, known as The International Student Leadership Conference.
While in China, the WLU students were able to further enhance their business skills while also experiencing a diverse and unique business culture. The CCSC students were able to learn fundamental business concepts while developing an understanding of North American business culture.
Value of International Student Leadership Conference
- Provides learning experiences and opportunities for Wilfrid Laurier University students as well as International students, particularly from Beijing and Shenzhen.
- Offers Laurier students a chance to engage and expand their knowledge in an international work setting
- Gain skills to become better leaders while interacting with international students.
- The international students also benefit by learning about business concepts that would not have been taught at their normal day schools.
